How we treat each other at ACCESS.

Every ACCESS space: meetups, roundtables, townhalls, workshops and ACCESS Campus sessions; events we co-host; the member portal, members’ WhatsApp and Telegram groups and X Spaces; and any interaction where you represent ACCESS or act as a member.

• Be respectful. Treat people with courtesy regardless of background, gender, religion, nationality, age, ability, company or the chain they build on.
• Be honest. Represent yourself, your organisation and your projects truthfully. Say when you have a financial interest in what you are discussing.
• Be platform-agnostic. ACCESS does not take sides between protocols or products. Debate ideas on their merits; do not use ACCESS spaces to disparage competitors.
• Be responsible. Follow Malaysian law and the rules of any regulator that applies to your activity. Do not use ACCESS to circumvent them.
• Be generous with knowledge. Newcomers and students are part of the mission. Answer the basic question without condescension.

• Harassment, intimidation, discrimination or unwelcome sexual attention, in any form or medium.
• Promoting or soliciting investment in tokens, schemes or products, including in member chat groups, without the organiser’s explicit permission.
• Undisclosed paid promotion, shilling or pump-and-dump activity.
• Misrepresenting an ACCESS membership, partnership or endorsement.
• Sharing members’ personal or contact details outside the association without their consent, or scraping the members directory.
• Recording or photographing people at events after they have asked you not to.
• Disrupting talks, sessions or discussions, or repeatedly ignoring an organiser’s instructions.

Speaking slots and sponsorships are for education and industry dialogue, not sales pitches or token launches. Sponsors and partners are expected to hold their staff and representatives to this code at any event they support. ACCESS may decline or end a speaking slot or partnership that does not meet it.

If you experience or witness a breach, tell a committee member or organiser at the event, or email devaccessblockchainmy@gmail.com. Reports are handled by the executive committee, treated confidentially, and never shared with the person reported without your agreement. You will not be penalised for reporting in good faith.

Depending on the seriousness, the committee may issue a warning, remove someone from an event or online space, suspend membership benefits, or end a membership or partnership without refund, as set out in the terms. Where conduct may be unlawful, ACCESS will refer it to the relevant authority.
